Machine Head vocalist Robb Flynn Linkin Park classic "In The End" on his social media, performed in tribute to vocalist Chester Bennington , just two days after his death in 2017.

“Three years ago we performed this song at my birthday party, after learning of Chester’s horrific death just two days prior,” Flynn wrote in the video caption. “We were shocked and saddened, and I think most of us were still reeling from the sudden and tragic death of Chris Cornell , when this happened and hit us like a ton of bricks.”

“I know people are going to complain about this, but I don’t care. I love Linkin Park. I saw them before their first album was released opening for Orgy at Maritime Hall. I saw them almost every time they came to the Bay Area, and they always put on a killer show. I played a lot of festivals with them, saw them in France while promoting The Blackening , and saw them again in Belarus preparing for the Bloodstone And Diamonds . I know Chester’s passing was yesterday, but it seemed appropriate to share this beloved cover. Shout out to J-Mac for killing it on the chorus,” wrote the vocalist.
